Beautiful. Do these come back reliably year after year for you? Any critter problems with them? I would like to give them a try. I have English and Spanish bluebells and many different varieties of daffodil so far.
Hey Quercusnut. This is my second year growing hyacinths, so it's hard for me to say yet whether they will be reliable perennials here. I have heard from another Tennessee gardener that they're pretty reliable in Tennessee. No critter problems whatsoever. The deer, rabbits and/or squirrels may eat my tulips (although they generally left those alone this year too) but they so far have not touched the hyacinths (or the daffodils for that matter). As you can see from the second and third photos above, some very small critter (insect) was nibbling on one of the hyacinth buds, but it did not detract from the beauty of the overall blooms.
